The network also seeks to develop an evidence base for policymakers regarding, research security and economic security.
Research funding and responsible internationalization
Research funders play an integral role in promoting responsible internationalization. Internationalization has many benefits, however, it also creates significant challenges that need to be managed responsibly. Funders both governmental and private, play a pivotal role in ensuring that international research collaborations are beneficial, ethical, transparent, and aligned with national interests and global interests. This expert group focuses on how funders can promote and work with responsible internationalization.
Research administration and research security
Research administrators play a vital role in research security, a multifaceted area that encompasses not only the protection of intellectual property and sensitive data but also the ethical conduct of research, regulatory compliance, and safeguarding of national and institutional interests. As research becomes more collaborative and global in scope, research administrators are positioned at the intersection of science, policy, and security, ensuring that research activities are conducted in ways that are both productive and secure.
